Subject Matter Expert:
Reports to : Program/Project Manager
Supervises: NA
Location: Crystal City, VA
Education required :
The candidate shall possess at a minimum a Master’s degree, a PH.D is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- The SME will be a senior professional possessing unique credentials.
- The individual acts as a subject matter expert and provides support to complex and critical efforts that require scarce and highly specific analytic and investigative skills and experience.
- The position requires the ability to identify underlying business, management, scientific, technical, programmatic, operational, and policy issues, and to provide expert analysis, assessment, and recommended courses of action for major programs and projects.
- Must have the ability to conduct critical analytical thinking, possess the technical skills required for in-depth analysis, and be skilled in the production and presentation of quality, timely products.
- Analysts must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
- Analysts must work well independently and be able to organize time and work efficiently and have the ability to respond to multiple urgent tasks.
- They must be knowledgeable of National Disclosure policies, Intelligence Oversight and classified information security policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Background required:
- A SME Analyst shall have at a minimum 15 years CI Operational and/or related CI/Intelligence Analytical (corresponding to a specific division) career experience with a strong emphasis and preference in analysis.
- The candidate shall have completed extensive CI analytic or other intelligence related analytic training.
- Extensive knowledge and utilization of current analytic tools and methodologies is required.
- Preferred candidates will have analytic training and experience in but not limited to the following areas: tactical operations, FISS, counterterrorism and experience related to the country or AOR involved.
- Shall possess experience in a wide variety of intelligence systems and tools, which may include, but are not limited to:
- WebSafe,
- M-3,
- Anchory,
- LexisNexis,
- Cornerstone,
- Choicepoint,
- Intelink,
- JRIES,
- Analyst Notebook,
- Microsoft Office systems including MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
