Research Specialist:
Reports to : Program/Project Manager
Supervises: NA
Location: Arlington, VA
Education required :

  • The candidate shall possess an Associates degree from a regionally accredited 2 or 4 year institution.
  • Candidates who do not meet this minimum educational requirement may be considered to satisfy this requirement through additional experience and training.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Analyst is expected to have a working knowledge of the Intelligence Cycle (collection, fusion, analysis, production and dissemination). 
  • They will be expected to work on teams and conduct research, data entry, perform limited analysis, complete CI analytic products, and perform briefings to government officials. 
  • They will be expected to employ new methodologies and utilize new technologies to assist with analysis. 
  • Must have the ability to conduct critical analytical thinking, possess the technical skills required for in-depth analysis, and be skilled in the production and presentation of quality, timely products.
  • Analysts must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
  • Analysts must work well independently and be able to organize time and work efficiently and have the ability to respond to multiple urgent tasks.
  • They must be knowledgeable of National Disclosure policies, Intelligence Oversight and classified information security policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills and Background required:

  • Analyst shall have at a minimum 1-2 years of research and data entry experience, or similar CI/Intelligence Community research experience. 
  • Shall possess experience in a wide variety of intelligence systems and tools, which may include, but are not limited to:
    • WebSafe,
    • M-3,
    • Anchory,
    • LexisNexis,
    • Cornerstone,
    • Choicepoint,
    • Intelink,
    • JRIES,
    • Analyst Notebook,
    • Microsoft Office systems including MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
