Functional Analyst (Mid):
Reports to : Program/Project Manager
Supervises: NA
Location: Arlington, VA
Education required :
- Analyst shall possess at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited 4 year institution.
- Candidates possessing Bachelors degrees conferred from overseas colleges and universities will be eligible for consideration on this task.
- Candidates who do not meet this minimum educational requirement may be eligible for consideration based upon extensive intelligence experience and training.
Responsibilities:
- Analyst is expected to have experience with the Intelligence Cycle (collection, fusion, analysis and production, and dissemination).
- They will be expected to conduct research, perform all source intelligence analysis, complete CI analytic products, and brief high-level government officials.
- They may be expected to lead projects/teams and work independently.
- They may also be asked to serve the organization in an assignment to another DoD or outside agency/organization.
- They will be expected to employ new methodologies and technologies to assist with analysis.
- Must have the ability to conduct critical analytical thinking, possess the technical skills required for in-depth analysis, and be skilled in the production and presentation of quality, timely products.
- Analysts must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
- Analysts must work well independently and be able to organize time and work efficiently and have the ability to respond to multiple urgent tasks.
- They must be knowledgeable of National Disclosure policies, Intelligence Oversight and classified information security policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Background required:
- Analysts shall have at a minimum 5 years of related CI/Intelligence experience, with a preference for CI, CE investigations and/or CT experience with a strong emphasis in analysis.
- Familiarity and previous use of analytic tools and exposure to new analytic methodologies is required.
- Preferred candidates will have analytic training and experience in but not limited to the following areas: tactical operations, FISS, counterterrorism and experience related to the country or AOR involved.
- Shall possess experience in a wide variety of intelligence systems and tools, which may include, but are not limited to:
- WebSafe,
- M-3,
- Anchory,
- LexisNexis,
- Cornerstone,
- Choicepoint,
- Intelink,
- JRIES,
- Analyst Notebook,
- Microsoft Office systems including MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
