COMSEC Junior Engineer
Reports to : Project Manager
Supervises: N/A
Location: Arlington, VA
Education required:
- A Bachelor Degree in Computer/Network Environment plus two (2) years of working experience. (Degree is not a requirement).
- Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in computer workstations/networking field.
Duty Description:
- Responsible for assisting the Network systems administration support;
- proactive network monitoring on an hourly basis with timely reporting of outages;
- maintenance and control of Enterprise server and IP configuration scheme (Subnet Mask and Routing knowledge);
- Windows 2000 Systems Administration environment including the following:
- User account and password management,
- Event log monitoring,
- Replication management,
- Network performance monitoring.
- Must be able to quickly identify problem areas on the network and notify affected parties;
- escalate problems as necessary to responsible parties;
- proper documentation and annotation of problem tickets;
- Service Center ticket reporting.
Position Requirements:
- The individual must have 2-4 experience in customer support field.
- Must be able to prepare and deliver both oral and written reports, documentations and user communications.
- Must be an expert in Microsoft Office with some knowledge in Access, Windows 2000/XP system configuration and management (MCSE can be valuable), and two (2) years experience in Exchange 5.5/2000 system configuration and management.
- Must have hands on experience using Visio tools for technical drawing.
- Must have the basic knowledge Cisco routers and configurations; have Network security background. Dell and HP workstation support and trouble shooting (Hard Drive, Memory, Cloning and Configuration).
