COMSEC Engineer
Arlington, VA

Supervises: N/A

Education required :
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Network Engineering Environment or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- This position requires a minimum of 4-5 years experience working in a Computer Engineering environment.
Duty Description:
- Responsible for leading the network engineer supporting the Enterprise Server Systems (Primary, Backup, and Test Systems and clients) at HQ/Field Location and supporting staff.
- The duties are being able to monitor/trouble shoot network status for inactive clients’ workstation by resolving critical issues as needed with minimum supervision;
- provide weekly/monthly report to Project Manager;
- quickly identify and resolve problems areas on the network with minimum supervision;
- Configuring STU-III CRYPTO devices for dial-up sites;
- Service Center tickets reporting and responding in a timely fashion;
- providing end users support for remote sites encryption and network workstation issues;
- end users training on designed application for message handling.
Position Requirements:
- The individual must have five (5) years experiences in customer support.
- The individual also must be knowledgeable with desktop, switches, router and network troubleshooting configuration in a LAN/WAN network.
- This position requires an individual with highly skilled technical background, with enterprise network security, design, upgrades, network monitoring and update network security application.
- Must be able to configure and administrate Enterprise Server Administration Management with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to interact/communicate effectively with the customer’s request.
- Experience in Microsoft Office 2000/03/XP (Word, & Excel);
- Microsoft Exchange Administration (5.5 to 2003) experience three (3) years;
- Windows 2000 System Administration (User account and password, Replication, Event Logs and Network performance monitoring);
- experience working with VISO for complex network diagramming;
- AutoCAD is a plus;
- Cisco routers and switches, hands on expertise, Two (2) years;
- solid technical skills background for troubleshooting, and using diagnostic tools;
- excellent oral and written skill;
- experience working with STU-III crypto.
- Also KG-235 and Taclane INE products would be a plus;
- Knowledgeable of network security application and hardware for server, router, switches and firewall.
